Kilt rock whale & dolphin SEAFARI

One of our most spectacular Seafaris for scenery & wildlife, we make the journey North along the world famous Trotternish Peninsular towards Kilt Rock, always searching out to sea for any fins that may break the surface of the water! & maybe even the local Dinosaur lurking behind you…

First stop, is the mesmerising bird sanctuary of Holm Island, where the trip along Isle of Skye’s ‘Jurassic Coast’ really does come to life! This volcanic Island outcrop just off Holm Bay & the Old Man of Storr, is home to a wide variety of Skye’s magnificent marine bird life, including Puffins & White Tailed Eagles!

From here your Geology lesson also begins! As we meander further along the coast, you will be taken back to school days learning about the volcanic basalt sea cliffs & fossils formed over millions of years ago. Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) are dotted in bays along the coast and you will be able to get up close to the shorelines where gigantic dinosaurs used roam freely along the same coastline, their footprints still embedded and visible to see on land, described as a dinosaurs playground!

Highlights of this trip in 2023 were Minke Whales, Humpback Whales, Killer Whales (Orca) Dolphins  Puffins & White Tailed Eagles.
